Policy 2.6: Non-Discrimination Policy Print E-mail

Bowen EHS, Inc. does not discriminate against learners on the basis of sex, gender, age, race, color, national origin, socioeconomic or ethnic background, religion, sexual orientation, or disability.

 

Discrimination against learners on the basis of sex, gender, age, race, color, national origin, socioeconomic or ethnic background, religion, sexual orientation, or disability will not be tolerated.

Here are the steps to follow if a participants has a complaint.

Step 1: Participants must lodge complaints with the President of the corporation via email or otherwise in writing. If the President is the subject of the complaint, then the participant must lodge the complaint with a member of the Training Advisory Board. Complaints must be made within 30 days of the incident.  Contact to the Training Advisory Board is available through the Training Advisory Board web page.

 

Step 2: The President or the Training Advisory Board member will review the evidence regarding the complaint. If deemed necessary, convenient, or appropriate in light of the complaint received, the President and/or the entire Training Advisory Board may convene to review the applicable evidence. Evidence may include written statements from the participant, transcripts and recordings of instruction, and emails among other things. Investigations may also include interviews with the instructor, the participant, and other participants as appropriate.

Step 3: The President, the Training Advisory Board Member, and/or the Training Advisory Board will implement an appropriate response based on all the evidence. Possible responses include, but are not limited to:

1. Dismissal of the complaint
2. Written reprimand of the instructor with a formal apology to the participant
3. Removal of the instructor from future instructor opportunities.
