ASP CSP Online Review

This Bowen EHS® comprehensive online review course allows you to interact live in real time with your instructor and other participants as you prepare for the ASP and CSP exams. Lectures are presented twice a week for 8 weeks and offered at multiple days and times to accommodate most schedules.  Lectures are also recorded for those who prefer to study at their own pace or want to review the material more than once.  Eligible for CM hours, COC points, and CEUs.

Materials Provided

  • Course notebook with a hard copy of all lectures provided at the beginning of the course.  Format is 3 slides on the left side with room for notes on the right.

Our philosophy on exam preparation is to be sure our clients understand the fundamental issues in each subject.  The exam is tough.  Those prepared to answer the fundamental questions can devote more time to the advanced questions on each subject. Individual experience provides the knowledge to answer more advanced questions.

Courses beginning after April 1, 2015 will be updated to the new ASP Blueprint. In addition to updating some of the current topics, the following topics will be added:

Biohazards, Environmental Management, Security, Workplace Violence, and Fleet Safety.

Course Objectives

Participants will complete a comprehensive review course consisting of relevant topics found on the Safety Fundamentals and Comprehensive Practice exams administered by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP). Participants successfully completing the ASP/CSP online review course should be able to achieve a score of 70% or higher on the Bowen EHS final exam administered at the end of course.

In addition to achieving a score of 70% or higher on the Bowen EHS final exam, participants of this ASP/CSP course should expect to be able to pass the Safety Fundamentals and/or Comprehensive Practice exams administered by the BCSP provided they sit for the exam(s) within 1 year of completing this course.

Successful completion of a BCSP exam is not required to receive a certificate of completion.



Clients will benefit the most from this class if they have: 

  1. completed an undergraduate or graduate degree in a physical science, engineering, or health and safety program, and
  2. have at least 3 years of professional safety experience.

The Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) requires candidates to have for the:


  1. Minimum Bachelor's degree in any field or an Associate's in safety, health or the environment or a closely related field, and
  2. At least 1 year of experience where safety is at least 50% preventative, professional level with breadth and depth of safety duties.

  2. At least 4 years of experience where safety is at least 50% preventative, professional level with breadth and depth of safety duties and one of the following credientials:  ASP, CIH, CMIOSH, CRSP, GSP, SISO.

Completion Requirements

To receive a Certificate of Completion for this course, participants are required to complete the following list of items within 30 days after the course end date:

  1. Listen to each of the 16 lectures (participate live or review recorded lectures)
  2. Score 70% or higher on all homework assignments
  3. Score 70% or higher on the Bowen EHS final exam

Participants who do not meet all of the above completion requirements will receive a Certificate of Participation.

Our online virtual classrooms, powered by eLecta Live, support Windows, Macs, iOS(iPads), and Android Tablets.  For the best online learning experience, the use of a laptop or desktop computer is HIGHLY recommended.  ELecta Live has limited functionality with MAC computers.  For more information please see Technical Help.
