ABIH Key Change to CM Credit

Written by

The ABIH recently announced that beginning January 1, 2015, CM credit for other professional certifications (like the CSP) can only be claimed using the rules for IH-Related exams in Category 7.

What does this mean for you?

If you currently hold the CIH and you sit for AND pass an IH-related certification exam by December 31, 2014, you will earn the maximum CM credit toward your CIH recertification. If you wait, the credit earned will be reduced dramatically.

Beginning January 1, 2015, CM credit will be based on the maximum allowed time for the exam. If passed, you will be able to claim 0.167 point per hour of exam.
