New CSP Blueprint to go into Effect in 2016

Written by

The Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) recently announced the release of a new Certified Safety Professional (CSP) blueprint. The new blueprint will apply to the CSP9 examination and is expected to be in place in the second half of 2016.

According to the BCSP announcement, BCSP's Examination Director, Susan Gould, CSP, ASP, OHST, CHST, STSC stated "the new blueprint will also go through statistical analysis via a beta test, a process that includes participation from new certification candidates whose support we really appreciate." She continued, "a special invitation to participate in the beta test will be announced the first part of 2016."

Bowen EHS will review the updates to the exam and revise our course materials for courses beginning in the second half of 2016. We will also continue to monitor BCSP's announcements and pass information along to you.

You can review the new blueprint on BCSP's CSP webpage. The downloadable blueprint document includes a brief description of changes including new focuses and clarified elements.
