He is the founder of Applied Improvement Technologies, LLC with clients representing aerospace manufacturing, service sector, and consumer products. Machine Noise Reduction: Conduct quantitative noise exposure and frequency analysis assessment; implement/install engineering controls for machine noise in surgical manufacturing company
IH Risk Assessment: Developed qualitative exposure risk assessment strategy followed with comprehensive quantitative analysis for formaldehyde, isobutanol, and isophorone diisocyanate.
Behavioral Based Safety Management: Provided key onsite facilitation & consultation with implementing Antecedent-Behavior-Consequence model for front-line supervisors & work teams in rail yard operations.
Industrial Hygiene Exposure Modeling: Conduct hexavalent chrome exposure assessments during spray priming of large aircraft parts.
Confined Space Entry: Design training for permit-writers, entrants and attendants for large manufacturing company. Course design utilized extensive adult-learning techniques with focus on doing-demonstrating.
Waste Anesthetic Gases in Dental Operatory: Conducted quantitative exposure assessment for dental OR staff using real-time instrumentation during evaluation of Brown Scavenging Mask System for controlling waste anesthetic gases emssions.
Laser MPE/NHZ Analysis: Analyze and compute maximum permissible exposure (MPE) and nominal hazard zone for several lasers at consumer health products manufacturing facility.
Safety & Health Manager: Served as the Occupational Safety & Health Manager for high-tech manufacturer in New England.
Quality Improvement: Design and deliver quality management training programs for U.S. Navy, Rubbermaid, Hartford Hospital, UMASS School of Medicine and Baystate Health Systems.
Large Scale Pesticide Sampling: Conducted chlordane indoor air sampling for over 570 housing units on US Military Base.
EHS Specialist: Large facilities department responsible for maintenance/repair of over 2,000,000 million square feet. of factory space. LOTO, confined space entry, safe electrical work practices, near misses investigation, hazard communication, noise abatement, storm water pollution prevention/spill prevention, fall protection, job safety analysis.
