I took my ASP exam for the first time and passed. No doubt I would not have passed without the Bowen ASP Review Class! Unfortunately... Fortunately, I had a family emergency and had to postpone my original test date. However, with the extra time, I watched/listened to all of the lectures again, and I think it was very helpful. I studied the Brauer book a little, and used both the Bowen study question app and Pocket Prep on my iPhone. Keep in mind, you're not going to ace this test. If you run across a few questions you weren't prepared for, don't worry. You have to get 107 correct out of 175 to pass. You can miss over 60 questions and still pass. I know we all want to score as high as possible, but the attitude of allowing yourself to miss up to 60 questions can help control anxiety. So there is my strategy and a little advice to calm nerves, for what it's worth. Good luck to all!!

I found this forum (ASP-CSP Exam Logistics) to be a great place to help me with how I should focus my studies. Thank you all who posted here. Someone had posted something about radiation and lasers and I'm glad I freshened up on those topics because wouldn't you know it, there were a few questions on this! Anyhow, just to repay the favor, here is my take on how I prepared and studied for the exam. First and foremost, thank your Bowen team for putting together some great training! I will be highly recommending you to anyone who needs help. The fact that your lectures are all online and you have a plethora of additional study tools available really helps!

Last week I passed my CSP after a 5-6 months study. I used training materials from different sources (Datachem, Bowen ASP/CSP questions and Quiz app and site quizzes, SafeProfessional'sl's Reference and Study Guide (David Yates), BCSP self-assesment, Khan academy, etc.), but I'm particularly grateful to Bowen training materials and recommendations for exam logistics. Thank you very much!

I went on the Air Force Safety Forum and posted your website link as the go-to study material for the ASP-CSP. I think the course you put together is great and I will be sure to pass it along to others as I go through my career. Thank you for putting in the time and effort to make this course, otherwise, I'd have been fighting in the trenches on that test. Cheers.

No doubt the ASP Prep course (March-April 2019) played a major role in helping me pass the ASP exam. Took me a total of 4 hours. I had several typical math/science based questions in total. Like others have stated on this forum, heavy on the safety/management systems and/or theories, ergo, and a smattering of occupational health. I mainly used the course, Bowen flashcards, the Brauer book and completed numerous practice quizzes/tests. Thanks Russ for the great course and superb resources!

I took the CIH exam today and received a preliminary pass. I had to stare at the screen for a second to realize I had passed..the big green circle with pass in it was not getting through. I would like to thank Russ and the rest of my classmates for their help because without them I would not have been able to pass. The workshop was awesome and got me pointed in the right direction on where to focus my energy. Thanks.

I am happy to say I passed my exam! This is my second time taking it so the pressure was on. I want to thank Bowen EHS for all their help and support. I started a new job a week before my first try at the exam and with the stress of house selling and house hunting, my exam results showed. I retook the CHMM online review, studied using the CHMM Datachem software and reviewed my problem areas from the first exam. I am excited to put this chapter behind me. I pushed the submit button and closed my eyes. When I opened them, it said "are you sure you want to submit?", pushed the button, closed my eyes...it launched into the survey. Then it launched into at least 2 more "are you sure you want to submit?". I thought I was going to have a heart attack but finally....finally I got the green check saying preliminary pass! (CIH exam)

Passed the CSP! Thanks a lot for the instruction, Pat. Just made a lot of flashcards of the material in the review probably around ~200 cards, did the quizzes and the questions. It was pretty easy IMO. Thought the CHMM was harder. Didn’t have to take the ASP so that’s probably why. Good luck guys.
