From Prometric Testing Centers:

North America (U.S. and Canada)

In accordance with the changing local and federal governance and advice from the CDC and WHO, we have determined it is necessary to further extend the closure of test centers in the U.S. and Canada through May 31st. This applies to all testing programs, with the exception of essential services programs, which are still scheduled to resume in a limited capacity on May 1st. Prometric is actively working with test sponsors to determine whose programs meet the criteria for "essential workforce" as defined by the US Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA).

If your exam appointment is impacted by these closure extensions, you will receive an email notification informing you that your appointment has been canceled, and instructions for how to reschedule for a future date. No rescheduling fees will be applied, and we are working with your exam sponsor to ensure all program requirements are met. Please note that if you choose to contact Prometric for assistance, hold times may be extended due to the volume of individuals we are attempting to support. We thank you for your patience.

From BGC (ABIH):  In order to accommodate individuals whose exams were canceled, BGC (ABIH) has arranged to extend the date of the Spring 2020 CIH examination window until June 30. In addition, because your eligibility to sit for the exam expires with the Spring 2020 window, BGC is giving you an automatic 6-month extension to sit for the exam in Fall 2020 with no additional fee or documentation requirement.

The BGC (ABIH) provided the below information via email to eligible CIH candidates:

"This letter contains important information about sitting for the Spring 2020 CIH examination and instructions for the Fall 2020 examinees, so please read it carefully….

Prometric, our test provider for the CIH examination, has taken steps to safeguard the health and well-being of our examinees and will be reopening test centers on various dates across the globe. Please consult the Prometric website for your location.

Prometric is reducing the number of active workstations in the testing room, to conform with government-mandated social distancing standards, ensuring proper distance between each individual during test administration. This change effectively reduces the capacity at each location by at least 50% and will require Prometric to displace scheduled candidates on select workstations in order to be able to preserve the remaining testing appointments. Recognizing the impact that this will have on test-takers, Prometric is also investigating expand capacity through increased test center hours and days of operation.

In order to accommodate individuals whose exams were canceled, BGC has arranged to extend the date of the Spring 2020 CIH examination window until June 30. In addition, because your eligibility to sit for the exam expires with the Spring 2020 window, BGC is giving you an automatic 6-month extension to sit for the exam in Fall 2020 with no additional fee or documentation requirement.

If you still plan to sit for the exam in Spring 2020, options for those who have already registered on their CAPS profile for the exam and received an Authorization-To-Test (ATT) letter are listed below.
