HazComm GHS Standards
With the adoption of the Globally Harmonized System into the Hazard Communication Standard in 2012, hazardous material recognition and identification was standardized throughout the participating world. This unified recognition allows important information regarding worker safety to be easily and predictably analyzed and applied by industries. As safety professionals, we should be familiar with these global standards and know how to apply them in our industry.
This webinar is a 1-hour lecture and 30 minutes of Q&A.
Upon completion, participants will be able to:
- Locate the important information in a GHS compliant SDS
- Explain how a GHS compliant label works with an SDS to provide chemical hazard information to employees
- Describe the meaning of each of the nine pictograms
- Apply the full scope of the HazComm standard to their industry.
