No matter the industry or maturity of a safety and health program, ergonomic injuries (sprains/strains) are most likely the leading injury cause category in both frequency and severity (direct costs, indirect costs, and lost time days). Assessing all tasks at a large facility can seem like a daunting task at first. There are some simple tools available that, if used in a consistent manner, can be utilized to prioritize where corrective actions are needed. Join us to learn about two ergonomic risk assessment tools you can use, the Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) and the Rapid Upper Limb Assessment (RULA).
Upon completion, participants will be able to:
- Identify ergonomic risk factors.
- Use the REBA and RULA forms to conduct ergonomic risk assessments.
- Rank and prioritize ergonomic assessments in order to implement corrective actions.
