As an OESH Professional, there may be a time you come into contact with blood or other potentially infectious materials which puts you are at risk for exposure to pathogens. In addition, OSHA standards for bloodborne pathogens and personal protective equipment require employers to protect workers from occupational exposure to infectious agents. This is why it is important for OESH Professionals to be familiar with these infectious materials and how to properly prevent exposure. During this webinar, you will learn about airborne and bloodborne pathogens and what you can do to protect yourself and others from exposure.
Upon completion, participants will be able to:
- Identify common bloodborne pathogens and how they’re transmitted.
- Identify common airborne pathogens and how they’re transmitted.
- Identify personal protective equipment that can prevent the spread of pathogens.
