Ethics for OEHS Professionals

Review the ethical behaviors OEHS professionals are expected to know and follow.  Current certificants will benefit from reviewing the ethical standards they must follow during everyday practice in the workplace. 





 This Ethics Package reviews:

  • why ethical standards are important to certification boards
  • why ethical behavior is important and necessary in every organization
  • how age can affect ethical decision-making
  • how to avoid some common traps of unethical behaviors, and
  • ethical issues related to COVID-19.

This course has been designed to meet the ethics training requirement established for Certified Industrial Hygienists by the Board of Global EHS Credentialing (BGC) and Safety Professionals by the Board for Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP).

Earn up to 0.5 CEUs or 5 Contact Hours. Eligible for contact hours through the BGC, BCSP, IHMM and other OEHS certifying agencies.

Course Expectations

  • Videos and other learning aids are provided for self-paced learning. Course activities may include but are not limited to practice activities, multiple-choice quizzes, and small group activities. These activities are designed to engage participants and assist in the retention of presented information.
  • Access to all course activities and materials is available for one (1) year from the paid registration date through the Bowen EHS® Learning Center.

Completion Requirements

Participants must complete the following items to receive a Certificate of Completion:

  1. View all videos and complete all activities.
  2. Complete the course evaluation.

No certificate will be awarded to participants who do not meet the above completion requirements.


This course contains up to 5.0 hours of instruction. Up to 0.5 CEUs are offered for this course.

As an IACET Accredited Provider, Bowen Learning Network offers CEUs for its programs that qualify under the ANSI/IACET Standard.

Eligible for contact hours through the BGC, BCSP, IHMM, and other OEHS certifying agencies.
