Roles, descriptions, and actions of an Emergency Response Team and Incident Command Center from initial notification to recovery will be discussed. Topics covered include: OSHA requirements, training, mishap response plans, functional checklists, "all hazards approach", exercises from table top to full-scale, comparison between military and civilian response processes, and more.
Several case studies will be discussed including the crash of United Airlines Flight 232 at Sioux City Gateway Airport and the Alaska Shield 2014 Capstone Exercise.
Live lectures are presented once a week for 8-weeks. All lectures are also recorded for those who prefer to study at their own pace or want to review the material more than once. Eligible for IAEM Contact Hours, ABIH CM Points, BCSP® COC points, and CEUs.

To receive a Certificate of Completion for this course, participants are required to complete the following list of items:
- Listen to each of the 8 lectures (participate live or review recorded lectures).
- Score 70% or higher on all homework assignments.
- Score 70% or higher on the Bowen EHS, LLC final exam.
- Complete the course evaluation.
Participants who do not meet all of the above completion requirements will receive a Certificate of Participation.
