I took my ASP last month and had the opportunity to take my CSP today despite not having finished my ASP/CSP online review... I passed!!! I can't emphasis enough how great the Bowen online quizzes are in prepping for the tests and the book Safety and Health for Engineers. It was intimidating, but a cover to cover read with notes and answering the practice questions really got me ready. Good luck to everyone reading the forums prepping for the CSP. Thanks to Bowen EHS staff (especially Patrick), ASP/CSP review course, and other clients who offered study help, I passed my CSP9 exam. I also used Brauer "Safety and Health for Engineers" and Yates "Safety Professionals Study Guide." I took the BCSP practice exam several times and several of the Bowen practice quizzes.

I am so happy to have passed the ASP exam. This was my second attempt. I really was weak in math but I took the Algebra ll class and finished a couple of weeks ago. The first time I took the exam my calculator was on mathprint for some time and several problems in before I realized it. I identified my weakness via the first try and focused on the math and management which were my weakest areas. Today, I felt confident and nervous at the same time. Afterward, when I left the testing area the gentleman from the front desk was standing there with a folded paper in hand. I just knew he was hiding that I did not quite make it for the second time. I took the sheet and opened it! You Passed! in bold letters made my knees weak and my eyes filled with tears of joy. WOW! what a feeling. Thanks Russ.

I received a preliminary pass on my CIH exam!!!!!!! It took me a few tries but I finally did it. The Bowen course was essential to passing, I could not have done it without the material and all the advice! My journey began in 2012 when I began studying for it and took a few years off and began studying again in 2016. I failed it in the Fall of 2016, Spring of 2017 (8 months pregnant) and then again in the fall of 2020. Finally, after much focus and dedication, I am proud to say that I passed the CIH exam! Do not give up!! You only fail if you never try!! Again, this would not have been possible without the Bowen Course and material. Thank you 1,000 times!!!

I took the CIH exam today and received a Preliminary Pass!! This was my second attempt at conquering the beast and the hard work paid off. The lectures by the Bowen team provided a great foundation as to what to expect on the exam. For my second attempt, I also read Recognition of Health Hazards in Industry (by William Burgess) and Industrial Hygiene Reference and Study Guide (by Allan Fleeger and Dean Linquist). I would recommend these books and also recommend to take notes/make flashcards as needed. DataChem was also very helpful as it pointed out my weak spots that I needed to focus on. Good luck to everyone sitting! If it doesn't go your way just remember how far you have come and how much you have learned thus far. You can do it!

Taking the Bowen CIH review course was instrumental in helping me pass the CIH exam. Prior to taking this review course I was unsuccessful in passing the test as I found I did not study some of the material correctly. This course helps you to focus and strategize on how you study for the test which is extremely beneficial considering the extreme amount of material that you must learn and know.

I received a different screen today than in the past "Preliminary Pass"!!! When I took the exam in the spring statistically I was within a couple of questions so that stung pretty good. I had attempted the exam on two previous attempts but hadn't really made good progress until attending the CIH review Russ and his team put together last spring. The value of studying for the CIH exam is honing on our craft; whether I passed the CIH or not, each time I attempted it the preparation provided a deeper and wider understanding that I was able to use in the profession.

Two weeks after passing the ASP, I passed the CSP! I finished the test in 2 hours and was sure I had failed, but somehow managed to pass. I was actually surprised at the increase in the level of difficulty from the ASP to the CSP exam. Thank you Patrick and Bowen EHS for helping me through this process. I would definitely recommend the ASP-CSP course to anyone looking for a prep course. This was the only study material I used for each exam, so it is possible to pass both tests without using any other study materials!

Passed the CSP today!!! Man what a relief!! General advice: I would strongly encourage anyone to take the CSP as soon as they can after the ASP. Understand concepts, memorizing will only get you so far. I completed 16 practice CSP practice exams and 15 practice ASP exams on the Bowen website until I was consistently scoring 45+ out of 50. I passed (the CIH exam)! Thank you so much for making this possible. This was my 2nd attempt overall, but the first attempt after taking your CIH Review Course. After failing the first time, I knew I needed more work on Toxicology and Ventilation. I found the TLV/BEI book and the ACGIH Ventilation Manual to be very helpful. I also watched a lot of YouTube videos to learn about different processes. The course also helped me strengthen my strengths. Thanks again!
